    Provides career and employment workshops and individualized services to employed or unemployed Albertans, who are not attending an education program under the School Act. Career and employment workshops and on-demand one-on-one services, will support individuals to gain the skills and competencies needed to fully engage in the labour market.

    Resource Centre - At our office, we computer and printer services for work search purposes from Monday to Thursday 8:30am to 4:30pm and Fridays from 8:30am to 3:00pm. This includes a physical job board where employers can post their local job advertisements and job seekers can discover new opportunities in the community.

    Finance Fast Track (FFT) - This FREE program provides full-time training for 12 weeks to individuals seeking to enter into the financial, investment or insurance industries. Licensing and certifications included along with weekly connections to industry professionals providing guidance and mentorship to students.

    Successful Adults Gainfully Employed (SAGE) - This FREE program provides age specific employment workshops or one-on-one supports to individuals that are 45+ and seeking work within Red Deer and area. Job Finding Club is also available under this program on Tuesdays from 9:00am to 12:00pm at our Red Deer office.

    Youth Employment Connection Program (YECP) - This FREE 16-week program provides individuals between 18 and 30 years old struggling to find and keep work with vital skill development opportunities, including reading, writing, math, interpersonal, and life management skills. In addition to resume and cover letter development, interview skills training and preparation, career planning, safety training, work experience placements and job search support.

    Central Alberta Rural Employment Services (CARES) - This FREE program offers one-to-one individualized, personal approach to work search for those residing in Red Deer County. Employment services focus on supporting individuals to build employment readiness skills, receive job search support, access funding for short-term courses e.g.: safety tickets, complete job placements and receive job maintenance support.

    Provides Career and Employment Information Services (Career Employment Information Services (CEIS)) and Job Placement supports to Central Albertans including specific programs for mainstream job seekers, individuals with a self identified disability impacting their ability to gain/maintain employment and an Indigenous specific program for job seekers. Additionally, we have a resource center open to the public to assist in employment related needs including computers, photocopier, scanner, resource information and an employment specialist to provide assistance.

    Employee Matching - We assist our employers by helping to fill available job openings with qualified employees who are suited for the job as well as offer to post job openings on our job board which is available to the general public. Employer Awareness - Information and support services are available to increase employer awareness and understanding of disabilities and how they may impact individuals. We work collaboratively with the employer and individual (on or off-site) to design a plan that supports: work –site routines, job specific tasks, or safety procedures. Some individuals or employers may be eligible for specialized training assistance for on the job work experience programs, wage reimbursement programs or targeted wage subsidy programs.

    Career Leap - A fully government funded employment program designed to assist job-seeking Albertans in obtaining and sustaining full-time employment. Delivered over a 12-week period, the program provides individualized support including résumé development, interview coaching, and interactive workshops focused on strengthening job search strategies, workplace readiness, and professional confidence. Participants may also access funding for safety certifications and short-term training courses to support upskilling or reskilling aligned with labour market demand. Additional Employment Readiness Supports-such as work boots, personal protective equipment (PPE), and coveralls-are available once participants secure full-time employment. For eligible candidates, Career Leap also offers paid work experience and structured on-the-job training opportunities across various industries and trades, enabling participants to gain hands on experience, earn industry-recognized credentials, address skill gaps, and build a strong foundation for long-term career success.

    AccounTech - This program is a FREE, government funded training opportunity designed to help job seekers start a career in the accounting and bookkeeping field. This 12 week program includes two weeks of job search and employability training, followed by eight weeks of in class instruction covering accounting fundamentals, bookkeeping practices, payroll basics, and essential computer programs used in the industry. Participants then complete a two week unpaid practicum with a local employer to gain hands on experience. Graduates also receive up to three months of job placement support to connect them directly with employers hiring for full time, entry level accounting and administrative finance roles.

    Career Moves - A Supply Chain Training Program, delivered in partnership with Red Deer Polytechnic, is a 15- week, government-funded opportunity designed to help job seekers launch a career in the high-demand supply chain industry—at no cost. The program begins with one week of job search and employability skills, followed by 10 weeks of hands-on supply chain training covering purchasing, logistics, inventory control, warehouse operations, and materials management. Participants earn industry-recognized certifications such as Forklift, First Aid, WHMIS, CSTS, H2S, Fall Arrest, and Microsoft Office, then complete 4 weeks of on-the job work experience with a local employer. Graduates also receive up to three months of dedicated job placement support, connecting them directly with employers hiring for full-time, entry-level supply chain roles.

    Powering Up - This program, delivered in partnership with Red Deer Polytechnic, is a 15-week, government-funded opportunity designed to help job seekers launch a career in the high-demand construction trades—at no cost. The program begins with job search and employability skills training, followed by Occupational Skills Training in Carpentry, Electrical, Intro to Pipes, HVAC, and Welding. Participants develop entry-level trade skills, including trades math and science, blueprint reading, and essential jobsite knowledge. Industry-recognized certifications such as AWP, First Aid, WHMIS, CSTS 2020, Fall Arrest, and Microsoft Office are included. Participants then complete four weeks of on-the-job work experience with a local employer. Graduates also receive up to three months of dedicated job placement support, connecting them directly with employers hiring for full-time, entry-level roles in electrical, pipe trades, HVAC, welding, carpentry, and other related entry-level positions.
