Academic Express partners with Community Adult Learning Centres to deliver training using a multi-site, distant delivery format. Provide Workplace Essential Skills Training (WEST) to individuals with barriers to employment in the Red Deer area to support them to successfully attach to the labour market. Services include: Essential Skills Training (reading, writing numeracy, communication, creativity and innovation, digital skills, problem solving, adaptability, collaboration); Employability Skills Training (career planning, resume development, interview skills, job search techniques); Exposure Courses (short term certificate courses such as First Aid/CPR, Confined Space etc.); Employment Supports (work boots, hard hats and other items required for job site); Paid Work Exposure; and Work/Maintenance Support.
